June 16 – The mayor of England’s Better Manchester space, Andy Burnham (pictured), says it was a “shame” that Manchester Metropolis followers needed to stroll miles to get to the stadium for final Saturday’s Champions League last in Istanbul.
Burnham accused organisers of “massively” letting down English soccer supporters “12 months after 12 months”.
He made the feedback after stories that each Metropolis and Inter Milan followers needed to stroll as much as 5 miles to get to Istanbul’s Atatürk Olympic Stadium which is situated far exterior the town.
“Uefa – what a shame, leaving Manchester Metropolis followers to stroll miles to get to the bottom. No transport, no nothing,” Burnham charged.
“We noticed what they did final 12 months in Paris and all of the preparations there that failed 1000’s and 1000’s of Liverpool supporters and Actual Madrid supporters,” he added.
In line with stories, each official UEFA shuttle buses and over-priced taxis had been delivered to a standstill by native visitors, with many followers having to make the journey on foot.
