Chelsea have shown genuine interest in signing PSG player Neymar. Sources have suggested that Chelsea really wants to sign Neymar. The possibility of a deal for the player have already been discussed. The Blues could be on their way to making another statement signing. Furthermore, the player is expected to be prized for about £ 85-95 million. Neymar is deemed to be more affordable than his teammate Kylian Mbappe. Mbappe could be prized for a fee near £180m. PSG are apparently willing to sell the Brazilian. The club wants to make way for more young players on the team. The player last signed a contract with PSG back in 2021. He extended his contract up to the 2024-2025 season. Chelsea will however have to take into account of the FFP and then deal with things.
Neymar could join Chelsea from PSG
The Blues will have to check their position with FFP before they can even sign Neymar. However, they are expected to offload 5 players by the end of this season. Sources have claimed that Todd Boehly has been the best in the business so far. He has got some of the best people working for him behind the scenes. Neymar was said to be one of the topics discussed between Boehly and PSG president Nasser Al- Khelafi. Chelsea have already spent over £500m since Boehly took over the club. They are also interested in signing Brentford goalkeeper David Raya. The Brazilian is also said to be on their shortlist. The player have scored 117 times in 172 appearances for PSG since joining them. He has already tied his goal-scoring record with Pele for his national team.
Neymar had joined the French club from Barcelona on a record-breaking deal. Therefore he could be expected to make headlines again if he decides to join Chelsea from PSG.
